The History of LinkWorld - The Mountains

The Mountains area in LinkWorld celebrates the bioregion of Julian and the mountains surrounding the Julian School District. This aerial view shows the high elevations and mountainous terrain that surround many Borderlink students. Getting beyond geography is the cornerstone of the Borderlink Project.

Modeled from images taken by Carol Kerney, this area is filled with a different type of flora than what you will see in the dunes or borrego areas. It is built to give participants a "feel" for the vast differences in the natural settings that surround Borderlink students.

The Mountains area of LinkWorld includes a small gallery with more images of the Mountains and a meeting room filled with resources where private sessions can take place between counselors, tutors, mentors and students from the Borderlink Project.
